ABOUT OUR
Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled
Magdala is committed to supporting individuals with disabilities. We offer secure, comfortable, independent, supportive living spaces and an engaging day program. Both programs focus on social, emotional and wellness services that reduce stigma and improve the individual’s quality of life.
Concerned about costs? The Department of Mental Health (DMH) will pay for qualified individuals to participate in our habilitation housing programs.
An Encouraging Place
Group homes are a special place for people with multiple and significant disabilities to feel secure, comfortable, and encouraged. Our homes provide care in the least restrictive environment with the aim of providing housing, meals, medical and socialization services that reduce stigma and improve the individual’s quality of life.
Individualized Care
Each group home accommodates a small number of adults and provides treatment and related support as determined appropriate in each individual’s treatment plan. Services are delivered using continuous responsible supervision, and community resources all designed to supplement clear therapeutic and measurable outcomes.
Maximized Support
We provide a variety of interventions and services, all designed to maximize individuals functioning abilities. Services include individual goal setting, recreational opportunities, food, therapeutics, personal supplies, day programing opportunities, sheltered workshops, and transportation to other community resources.
Group Homes Program
Home is more than a house; it's where we grow and develop lasting relationships with the people we call family. Our team at Magdala House prides itself on providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through teamwork and a sense of family.
Independent Supportive Living (ISLS) Program
Magdala supports individuals with disabilities by encouraging them to live more independently. Our clients are supported in making everyday decisions, such as what to cook for dinner, personal care and money management. We help our clients build their strengths and provide support when needed.
Adult Day Care Component
Magdala's Adult Day program is a reliable source for those seeking on-site day services for adults who are intellectually and developmentally disabled. Our program caters to the cognitive and physical development of the clients. We provide a community that fosters inclusion, social stimulation, positive well-being and daily activities.

“
Jefferson spaces opened my eyes. I really appreciate their work. They feed us, we can shower, and it is a nice place to stay. I can relax, not looking over my shoulder. Doctors are available. This place brings me joy.
