Magdala House’s Adult Day Care assists clients Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Clients take part in academic workshops and Occupational Therapy (OT) that support independence and personal growth. Workshops include reading, language, math, science, seasonal projects, and group discussions to build focus and social skills. These activities help improve memory, motor planning, and self-expression. In OT sessions, clients work on emotional regulation, coordination, and daily living skills—empowering them to engage more fully in life at the center and at home.
Day Care is a critical complementary component to Independent Support Living (ISL) programs.
Magdala’s Adult Day Care is a reliable source for those seeking on-site day services for adults who are intellectually and developmentally disabled.
Our focus is on personal skills and assisting our clients in becoming independent in day-to-day non-vocational activities. It gives our clients opportunities for more choices in their daily lives.
Our program caters to the cognitive and physical development of the clients. We provide a community that fosters inclusion, social stimulation, positive well-being and daily activities.
Through community partnerships, clients have the opportunity to volunteer, explore employment settings, and use their abilities in meaningful ways—while continuing to follow individualized service plans.
The Adult Day Care helps adults acquire knowledge in the following areas:
Volunteer, semi-employment, and employment settings.
Utilizing their abilities in the community.
Maintaining individualized comprehensive service plans.
